Cassius was the main conspirator against Julius Caesar. The deep seated problem was that he simply could not stand anybody greater than he.And that a deadly's disease.Julius must have sensed this.He bypassed Cassisus and gave the post of first praetorship to Brutus.Cassius brooded and brooded and his inward self fuming with envy and jealousy.Brutus himself disliked Caesar but he realized his place in the politics of Rome. But then,Cassius was unaware of the powers of the infector.Cassius poured poison into Brutus ears, filling it daily with tales of Caesars evil-and finally won Brutus over to the conspiracy. This was the beginning of one of the worst tragedies in political history. And undoubtly, the worst infection. And Brutus,in turn infected the Senate with an even more venomous virus which had its origins in Brutus discontent.By the time,Caesar summoned the Senate to meet in the Theatrum Pompeium on the Ides of March 44 BC,the unseen Cassius virus had spread. As the Senate convened, Caesar was attacked and stabbed to death by a group of Senators who called themselves the Liberators.
How many misfortunes could have been avoided if there was no Cassius Or Brutus around? Beware of the infector or the infected.Have you ever been in the seat of a Ceasar,Brutus or perhaps a.....Cassius?
