We cannot take Troy by the military alone.We must find another strategy.The cunning Greek Commander Odysseus,came up with the idea of building a huge wooden horse and hiding enough soldiers inside it.Neoptolemus,a man of honour was disgusted with the idea.It was dishonourable. Any victory gained would be stained.It would be a shameful celebration.Better to die on the battlefield in honour than to resort to such scheming.But Odysseus,faced with the possibily of fighting another 10 years in the name of Greek battle honour on the one hand and a quick victory on the other, chose the horse.The scheming worked, the citizens fell for the Greeks crap, and when the Greeks retreated,Troy opend up at long last.They enthusiastically dragged the horse into the city,celebrating the end of the war, not realising the danger that waited within.
One gift of the Trojan Horse worked more misery,bloodshed and loss for Troy than 10 years of Battles and Wars.
