We wake up every day with the same dull drudgery. Wake up, spruce up, join the traffic jams, office,exchange the usual pleasantries with office staff, then lunch, more work and then join the traffic jam again to return home- for some- more drudgery awaits at home. We wake up the next day and what is new? What are we going to do? The same things we did yesterday. This monotony is the origin of many nameless depressions, phsychocondria and lifelessness.Out of this life situation, many philosophical statements emerged. Voltaire's famous statement -" Life is a long process of getting tired." & William Shakesphere-"Life is a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury signifying nothing" is very revealing.
Maybe on weekends the monotany is broken.Time with families, TV's and nice Chicken Curry meals at home.But nothing lasts, Monday-its Hitlers gas chambers again and the dreary routine begins once more. But on somedays Heaven interrupts this schedule- families reconnecting,time out with a close friend,laughter and music and maybe some beer.Thats a wonderful blessing and a most welcome change.
You dont need the attitude of Pascal who commented " Life has no meaning, only a struggling to pay your bills and the senseless end of it all, is the insult of the grave, which is waiting to collect our final bill."Its time to change the perception and the attitude.
