TOPSY TURVY

Today I  was at the Industrial Court 13- for continued Cross Examination. Just when I thought the case was over- the Company(defendants) applied for leave to file in additional documents. The Industrial Court being a court of equity granted it. So what was supposed to be the end of the case  continued. And the man in the dock was as slippery as an eel- A Datuk with a legal background.( Not to be rude- there is a saying among lawyers that some witnesses can grab the lawyers by their balls- I suppose this is one of  them). He was prepared with well thought out answers- so I cut the CE short in 1/2 an hour. Next came the Tan Sri-the CEO of the Company. A soft spoken man- but even more slippery. He had only tendered 19 questions through his lawyers. And there was the frequent " bantahan" from the other lawyer.

Although the judge has said ' Objection Overuled" still she objected to this and that. By the time I said ' No Further Question" my mind was topsy turvy. Courts instructions were Companys submission by the 24th Jun 2011- My submission  1 months time after their and a reply to my submission if there is any. Well, I am exhausted for the day- there is still one more client I need to call before I call it a day-  I said a short prayer just now before I call him- because he is a real snake in the green green grass.
